To
my delight, there is a brief sequence in the SNES
RPG game Pretty Soldier Sailormoon: Another
Story, in which Yuuichirou appears. I just
thought it was really cool that he made it into
some actual merchandising. A thoroughly nice
person called Diana
Moon
who has an emulated version of the game with an
English-translation patch made screenshots for me.
Hooray for her! First off, here's the dialogue of
the scene. To give you a little context, the girls
are discussing their situation (baddies are trying
to take over the world... again) in Rei's
room when Yuuichirou pops in.
Yuuichirou:Ah!
Hi everyone! How are you? Rei-san, you look better
than ever today.
Rei:Th..thank you, Yuuichirou.
Yuuichirou:Take it easy, everyone!
Usagi:Soooo, Reii-chan?
Rei:Wh-what was that, Usagi? Why are you
talking with that tone of voice?
Usagi: Because of what just happened. You
and Yuuichirou are great friends, right?
Rei: I..it's nothing.
Usagi: Really.
Rei: Really... really, really! It's nothing!
Well then Usagi, who's YOUR boyfriend?
Usagi: Huh? Me? It seems Mamo-chan and I are
the perfect couple! We'll be like this forever...
He's kissed me already. Kyaa! I shouldn't have said
that!
Rei: Thanks for that.
I
find that so sweet! (And I love Usagi's 'kyaa!'
face.) Yuuichirou sounds a lot more confident than
he often seems, doesn't he? On a related note, I
don't recall him ever going into her room in the
anime, except the one time he barges in in a panic
in his debut episode. I always wonder about how the
two of them get on from day to day - do they talk a
lot? Do they have fun together? Are they in and out
of each other's rooms all the time? We can only
speculate... It's really nice to think of them as
'great friends,' just as Usagi suggests. As for
Rei's reaction to Usagi's insinuation - really,
really, really nothing, huh? *^.^* The lady doth
protest too much, methinks. (That's actually a
convenient misinterpretation of Shakespeare's line.
In its context in Hamlet it means the lady
in question is protesting that she doeslove
someone, a little too much for it to sound sincere.
So don't say you never learned anything about great
English literature from this website.
*^.^*)
You
may peruse the whole sequence like a comic-strip
below! (I gave the dialogue first because not every
line is in the screensnaps.) Click on the

KatC also has lots of cute GIF images taken from
the games, which are fun to use in web
