>>Site Stuff>>Updates 11
July 2004 - I have given this site a once-over,
removed some bits that I didn't want to be public
any more, and declared it static. It represents my
interests and thoughts when I was quite a bit
younger, but I'm leaving it here because I know
some people enjoy it. Thank you to everyone who has
visited in the past and given me feedback. Over
time, links to locations outside this shrine may
break down; I cannot control other people taking
down or moving webpages. However, if you find
broken links within this shrine, please
contact
me
and I will do my best to fix them. 14
May 2002 - after an unbelievably long hiatus,
we're back in black! Some off-site links may not be
functional yet but everything within the shrine
should work okay - problems will be fixed
soon. 30
August 2001 - there are fifteen yummilicious
new gallery pictures. Go down to the bottom of the
page and enjoy! (A reorganisation and thumbnailing
of the gallery is a plan for the
future.) 16
August 2001 - There are now proper Black Dragon
linkage graphics on the Support page, for anyone
who is nice enough to want to link to the shrine.
Thanks, by the way, to Inga, who has been very
helpful in troubleshooting. 15
August 2001 - Finally fixed the mucked-up 'back
to the main page' links at the bottom of each page,
plus I got my new front-page layout and tweaked
sub-page layout up, which I really like. Folken
is the Leonardo da Vinci of Gaea - so I've
used a font based on da Vinci's handwriting! (Not
the backwards version *^.^*) I think the freaked-up
'L'Uomo Universale' on the front page looks
so cool... Also, there's a bunch of fanciful
new writing on the Miscellaneous page, which I
really need to dress up with some appropriate
images. 19
July 2001 - a new home, with lots of space, so
now the gallery works again! Huzzah! Bit of a shame
about the banners at the top of every page, but for
150 free megs I can grin and bear it. 12
July 2001 - Here we are! New look, no more Van,
badabing, badaboom! Unfortunately, the gallery is
temporarily out of order, because I'm having
trouble finding space to put those pictures in. If
only I didn't have The Allen Schezar Project on
this acdount as well... this GeoCities account
ain't big enough for the both of 'em. I used to
keep the Dragons galleries on Xoom but they're
closing down, the brutes. 10
July 2001 - I've made an addition to
What
Might Have
Been.
Sometime soon, perhaps tomorrow, I'll give Folken's
shrine a proper overhaul (and probably a new
look). 9
July 2001 - and Van's shrine is just plain
gorn. I think it's for the best. For an
explanation, follow the still-extant link to
Van's
index page. 15
June 2001 - I have finally admitted the truth
and declared Van's shrine officially static. I'm
never gonna update it. I do have future plans for
Folken's shrine, but at the moment I'm
concentrating on other projects. Thought you should
know. Also, there are two glamorous new Nariya and
Eriya pictures in Folken's gallery. 3
March 2001 - Both Van and Folken's shrines now
feature fanfic pages. I figured it was about time
some of the stuff I've written about the brothers
saw the light of the Internet. I've also added a
little information to Nariya and Eriya's page,
about their role in the Escaflowne movie,
and a prototype Folken page. Enjoy! Plans for the
future include a movie Van page, and revisions to
Meruru and Hitomi's pages to take movie information
into account. In the long run, Kaleidoscope Eyes
may become a minishrine in its own
right. 16
February 2001 - there has been a small update
to the Kaleidoscope
Eyes
page about Hitomi (which is threatening to grow
into a subshrine), and the What
Might Have
Been
page (prototype designs of Van) now has thumbnails
and two new pictures. I couldn't have done either
of these updates without the assistance of Kevin
Pezzano and Webmistress Lizzard, the two people who
can make me sing Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You' without
a trace of irony. 5
February 2001 - and you thought I was never
updating again. There's an entirely new page in
each shrine - one on the movie version of Folken,
and one about prototype versions of Van. Coming
soon: Van's movie page, and a probable remodelling
of Hitomi and Meruru's pages. Corrections of some
inaccuracies in Folken's pages have also (finally)
been made. 18
September 2000 - renovations are underway, just
to get things tidied up, but no big changes so
far. 4
September 2000 - I'm ba-ack. Things are in a
slight state of disarray as I attempt renovations
and improvements. The first of these is now
complete - the image galleries are now located on
the Xoom server, where you can have unlimited
webspace in return for displaying a rather ugly
advertising bar. The point is, now all the
images should be accessible, which should please
everyone, especially the young woman who emailed me
bewailing that she couldn't find 'beefcake.jpg'
*^.^* If anyone finds anything wrong, still, don't
hesitate to email
me. End
of March 2000 - For reasons explained in
Where
in the world is
Sarah-neko?,
I won't be updating this shrine personally until
late September 2000. Peace! 14
March 2000 - one more Folken picture in the
gallery. I wonder now if that was worth telling you
about, but heck, it's a nice picture. Later
on 29 February 2000 - Yes, the new Folken
pictures are up! Huzzah! And there's a new Van
picture too (as though he needed more in his
gallery). Because I found the images in my sister's
GeoCities directory were inaccessible (I have no
clue why) I've found them a new home, so everything
in the galleries should work now. If you have any
problems, don't hesitate to email
me. 29
February 2000 - Today it was brought to my
attention that HBD has been chosen as an
Anime
Web Turnpike
Weekly Web Pick for 2/28/2000. I feel delighted and
honoured by this choice - many thanks to the good
people of the Anipike. In actual updates news, I
have a bunch more pictures for Folken's gallery,
which I will probably get up for your enjoyment
some time tomorrow - I'd do it tonight, but it's
already technically tomorrow morning and I want to
go to bed. *shrugs* I need my serotonin. 5
February 2000 - Kung hei fot choy! Happy Lunar
New Year! The Year of the Dragon is upon us, and
Here Be Dragons is upon the Web. Please explore and
enjoy it! Work
on this site began on or about 4 December 1999, and
continued through January with the goal of
launching on the first day of the Year of the
Dragon, 5 February 2000. An
experimental upload took place on 28 January 2000,
with some pages incomplete and the gallery not
functioning - I was just trying to get some idea of
how much server space it was likely to
consume. The
galleries were uploaded, with considerable
difficulty and some cursing, on 3 February 2000 - I
had to farm them out across three GeoCities
accounts belonging to different members of my
family! I have more pictures of Van Fanel than any
reasonable person needs. {{
