??.01.99 - Drawn by hand, then coloured with Photoshop. I have yet to learn how to make that look good, but I wanted colours and didn't have enough coloured pencils. That's meant to be the crystal Naru pinched from her mother's shop glowing in her hands. Just a little portrait. A Fushigi Yuugi picture served as model.

28.01.99 - Ah, wishful thinking. This represents what might have been, had they not been so rudely interrupted. The discerning will recognise this as the shameless-rip-of-a-Fushigi-Yuugi-picture-with-different-hair-and-clothes-drawn-in that it is. I can't help it, Yuu Watase does such great just-about-to-kiss pictures that I am compelled to copy them. Actually, I traced parts of this, using an improvised lightbox consisting of a glass-topped dining table with an anglepoise lamp underneath. So I am a dirty rotten cheater. But at least I'm a resourceful dirty rotten cheater.

28.10.99 - Just to prove that I can do something other than copy Fushigi Yuugi pictures, I copied a Vision of Escaflowne picture. (I'm so ashamed.) Nephrite appears to have borrowed some clothes from Allen Schezar, and to be looking very spiffy in said clothes. This picture is simply the result of my hopeless crush on both characters. Don't let it alarm you.

04.03.99 - The lightbox strikes again. I've just gotten 36 wünderbar coloured pencils and I drew this to celebrate. Since I think it's a crying shame that they never met in the manga, I thought I'd draw them manga-style together - although nitpickers will recall that in the coloured artbook pictures, manga Nephrite's eyes were brown, not blue as they are in the anime. The botanically-minded (you know who you are) may derive some obscure gratification from the knowledge that the flower in Nephrite's hand is called a gerbera. My mother grows 'em and I thought one would look nice next to Naru.

10.03.99 - yay! Someone besides me drew a picture for this *^.^* This lovely manga style/computer art piece is from Safox, of the Glitter shrines. The tears in Naru's eyes are a particularly nice touch...
